Nächstenliebe ist die reine Christus Liebe ❤️

Dear Family and Friends,

Good morning. What a wonderful week. I hope you all have had a wonderful week too. It has been so crazy all the things that have happened. Thank you so much for all your prayers. They really have been such an amazing help. I appreciate it so much more that you could ever know.

Sorry everyone if my emails are getting boring. Ha. I feel like sometimes I get repetitive. All my emails are kind of the same now. However, something new and exciting this week was that both Justice and Theresa took the first step and made their first covenant with their Father in Heaven. It was such a wonderful and beautiful, the spirit was so strong. Ot was really amazing too because first off Theresa's daughter will be turning 8 this month. We have been teaching her a little bit, and she was asking us the entire time about the baptism and why we need to be baptized. We hope that she can be baptized soon as we continue to help her understand its importance :)
Also justice had invited two of his friends to come. They both were so interested and now are really thinking about wanted to be baptized as well. One of them is the husband from our investigator Emilia. There are just Miracles pouring out from heaven.

This week we had our first zone conference with president Fingerle. It was good. We were his first zone, so I could tell he was nervous and it was a little rough around the edges but he has some amazing goals and changes for the mission. One of them being having to speak MORE GERMAN. We need it though, my German is far from where I would like it to be.

This week we had the wonderful opportunity to meet with our beloved wonderful Nele. I can't even express how cool she is. I just love teaching Germans. Ha it is an adventure, they always ask the hardest questions and it makes it such a challenge. You are always on the edge of your chair. Nele is so wonderful though, her questions are truly inspired and she really has such a sincere desire to come to know God. To have something to rely on. And what better way of knowing than through the only true church on the earth today. It was so great, at the end of the lesson she just asked if she had to have a specific chapter to read from the Book of Mormon every week, or if she could just start of the beginning.  The Lord really prepares these people, we just sit on the sidelines and watch ha-ha.

I got to go on another wonderful exchange with my favorite Asian, Sister Hashimoto. This will probably be my last one ever with her! :( So sad. It was an awesome exchange though, and I just learn so so much from her. It really is amazing the power of having a companion. How much you personally can learn from them.

That is one thing I have been thinking about lately is how much more we need the people in our lives than they need us. How many lessons we learn from those around us. When stop focusing on us. And start focusing in others, and serving them and helping them, than our eyes our opened to the wonderful lessons and things these people actually have done for us.

Most of the time on my mission I feel so guilty. These people do so much for me. They have so much love for us, and all I do is go to teach them a lesson about Christ and add them as a number to a piece of paper later that evening. Than one of my investigators reminded me, the greatest service we can do for our fellow man is sharing the gift of the atonement. These people don't love is so much or do so much for us because we are cool, or they want to be our best friends. They are just so grateful for the piece they receive knowing that they are now on the path to return to their Father in Heaven.  Our greatest joy and service it to share the love of God, and his divine grace and Mercy.

Well family and friends. That is all for this week. I love you all and wish you all well.

Liebe Grüße,

Sister Toma

Heisst Heisst Baby

Dear Family,

Well I am just giving you a heads up, sorry for my short email this week. I have to still write my mission president and ya ha-ha.

So this week was as usual wonderful :) ah it has been such a good week with lots of miracles.
It was also steaming hot. Ah 102 degrees on Saturday wow.
On Friday sister Stacey, the Zone Leaders and I all went up to Berlin.
We finally got to meet our new mission president. President Fingerle.
He is a really nice man and his wife is very sweet. I am excited to get to know him a little better and be able to work with him.

He came with the focus to be more focused on the temple. Our new mission motto is "Faithfully we baptize keeping our focus on the Tempe," pretty right? I really like everything we discussed during our MLC. He will be a great leader for this mission. It was sad not to see president and sister Kosak there. We will miss them.

This week was so great with church attendance. Everyone finally came ah :) we even had a few new people make it and some people that haven't come in ages :). It was a wonderful testimony meeting and then church got cut short because it was "too hot" it was 90 on Sunday ha-ha. I will be so much more thankful for air conditioning when I return home!!

That night we went out finding because our appointment fell out. As we were walking the craziest storm rolled in and we had to run back home, however we were drenched from head to foot. It was a pretty fun adventure. :)

Well family, I am thankful for all you do, all the support you give.

Will you please pray for these 3 people? For this week Gloria Justice Theresa They will be getting baptized this weekend we are excited for them :)

Alles Liebe,

Sister Toma

President Finglerle Finally Arrives !!! And happy 4th of July 🇺🇸

Dear Family and Friends,

This is the big week, tomorrow president Fingerle will officially become our new mission president. I cannot believe the day is actually here, also that it is schon July.
But really I can't believe it because, it hasn't been over 65 degrees here yet. Sometimes I still have to wear tights!!! Who ever said there is global warming, for sure has never visited Germany ;)

I was freaking out when I read Elder Toma's letter last week. That is pretty intense, having to speak in front of a General Authority.

Well this is my first week taking over Hannover, and the miracles keep rolling in. Sister Stacey is so awesome, and we are having so much fun together :) I am so excited to work with her. She is from Alpine Utah, 21 and we have so much in common, it is pretty dang fun :)

One of the coolest things that happened this week was actually on our first day. We went by on our investigator Justice, and turns out Joseph, and Emanuel, and the whole gang was there. Coolest part, Joseph's wife had just arrived from Spain. We talked for a bit and she said she wanted to come to church with Joseph. Then we met with Justice later that week and she came with. After the lesson, we found out that she actually had met with the missionaries in Spain, and had been going to church, she even said she wanted to be baptized :) so cool. They really just walk into our lives here in Hannover.

Another amazing miracle from the week was our first time getting to meet with Nele. I don't know if I mentioned her in my past emails, however she is a German who did and exchange student program and stayed with a member family when she was 15. Fifteen years later, she decided she needed more in her life and wanted to start meeting with us. Ah she is so cool, and I am so excited to start teaching her more, on Thursday when we met, she was so nervous, however she is so ready for the gospel and so prepared :) aww the gospel is so true and I am so grateful to be here helping people to realize it :)

This Sunday at church we had a missionary speak, who had just returned home from his mission. It was my first homecoming talk that I have heard on my mission. It was so good. The whole sacrament meeting was actually surrounding missionary work and they had his entire family give talks. They were all really good. It made me realize how wonderful the opportunity must be to have a missionary in the field. :)

So I have some big news :) our ward will be having 8 baptisms this week! What a miracle. We are so excited to really just start off president Fingerle's arrival with a bang that missionary work, WORKS!!

With saying that can you please please pray for these people
Justice
Gloria
Theresa
Amelia

That we can meet with them this week, that they will be ready and come to church for the next two Sundays so they can make a covenant with their Heavenly Father.

Well family that is it for this week, I love you so much!!! You’re wonderful.

Alles Liebe,

Sister Toma
