I love being on my mission!

Hi Everyone

How are things going? Thank you so much for all the Dear Elders and the emails. It really made my day. It is always good to have a spiritual thought or an uplifting message to help me throughout the day! Oh I also sent out a little letter to you and dad this week you should be getting it soon! Can you believe that in a few weeks that I will be in Germany? Because I can't haha. I get my travel plans this weekend and I can give you all the details about what time we will be where! I am guessing that we will have a layover somewhere on the east cost? Maybe Boston? The German is coming a long good. This week it just really clicked in my head and I have been able to say a lot more! Ja! Schtimt! lol

This week has flown by and I feel like it has been a pretty crazy week for me. I feel like I have broken down and cried at least 6 times lol. Finally my teacher pulled me out and just explained that this mission is hard and is supposed to me hard! Just the other day we got thrown under the bus and ended up teaching four lessons in one day. I better get used to that though. Anyways we had a rough lesson with Renner, "our Muslim" investigator. We didn't really know how to explain about the priesthood and what it was. The same for our 17 year old investigator. Finally my teacher Brother Garlick explained it so well, now we can really make it personal and understandable.  I think that is what we have been working on this week.. just really making all the lessons personable. It is so important that we make those lessons relatable to them. Especially The Plan of Salvation. Sometimes we just go along and give them sooo much information, However then we are just offering them information and not salvation.

So this week as been way gross haha! The boys bathroom has been having problems and our building has been smelling like a mixture of stink bombs and skunk for past week.  It is absolutely horrible!! On top of that our teachers won't let us study outside. However we kind of broke that rule once because it was SOOO bad, our teacher actually came out and said it was okay just because it was so bad!

Mom tell Sister Lopez and Sister Moore thank you for me! Their dear elders were so kind and I enjoyed them so much!

I can't believe that Brother Laulusa came and saw you.  That is sooo cool! I kind of wish I was there haha.. I am also so glad to hear that Conner is doing so well. I am so proud of him! Tell him I love him!  Oh and thanks for the dear elder.

Thanks Grandma May for the skirt I am soooooo excited to see it! :) it means so much to me.
Thanks Namma and Pappap for that wonderful talk from sister Nelson I love having that to carry around with me! Such good learning material.

My friend Sister Moderziski she is going to Sweden
Elder Kitchen photo bombed it though!!
I love being on my mission.  It is so wonderful and I have grown and learned so much at the MTC.  It is really is a place of learning and growing and I am so grateful that we have the opportunity to go to an MTC to learn about the doctrine and teaching and language. The mission really is a calling from God. It is amazing to me to see what gifts he blesses us with while we are serving with all our Heart Might Mind and Strength. We were studying that the other day and it was so amazing to read all the blessing we receive from our heavenly father when we are obedient to what he ask of us. Not just somewhat obedient but completely and exactly obedient.  We learn so much about being obedient in the temple and through making those temple covenants! Ahh it just makes me feel so warm inside thinking about Heavenly Fathers Love for his Children. We are his literal Children! That is an Amazing thing! Think about how much you love your fathers and Mothers! Just because I am far away and I don't get to see them for a year and half doesn't mean I don't want to talk to them or hear from them or speak with them. Our Heavenly Father is our literal father and loves us and wants to talk to us and see us and know how we are doing. We must pray always! Be obedient to his commandments our covenants, try our best and pray always, that is all he asked! (Enduring to the end) Then we will be able to return to him... we will finish our missions and live with him! What a great blessing and promise!

Well my last funny thing! I have a new Nickname! The Temple Schlaffer! (sleeping auf Deutsch). We have temple time at 1:40 right after lunch! I feel like that is a terrible time because  you're always tired after you eat lunch... and I am ALWAYS tired around that time! I try so hard I even hold my eyes WIDE open with my hands.... lol not really! BUT I really do try because I love the temple and I love learning from the temple! So pray for me this week that I will be able to stay awake! haha (just thought that was something funny for the day)

Liebe Sie Alles,
Sister Toma
